It enjoys excellent schools and the services of the Prescott community as well. Although the current Mayor of Chino Valley has great plans to expand the economic base of the community and to increase, the tax base it provides relatively low tax for growth and building incentives. It lies along the Highway 89 corridor about 2 hours south of the Grand Canyon and only an hour from major East-West Highway 40; the old Highway 66 trail.

It is a great community for small ranches and farms with a generous amount of good water wells from 220- 700 feet. The soil is great for growing crops and flowers. Many small horse ranches in the area provide ample riding opportunities for the enthusiast.
